And yet – Amann was beaten today only by the Czech Daniel Turek (Team Felbermayr Wels) and the German Timon Loderer (Hrinkow advarics).

It was the first podium for him at a race of the austrian cylcling league and was also the best Austrian pro rider.

AND – he is now already in fourth place overall in the league. In the lead today’s winner Turek from Czech.

Lukas Meiler out after heavy crash at first Bulgaria stage – Thalmann and Co. will give answer!

On today’s first stage of over 164 kilometers from the capital Sofia to Plodiv luck was not on Team Vorarlberg’s side. First they had to switch to a replacement car of the team bus after engine failure, then a momentous crash of Lukas Meiler. He had to give up the race as an overall ninth and hopes to have got away without fractures and serious injuries. Roland Thalmann has two defect and comes only in the final back into the second group and becomes today 16.

The start was really unlucky, says Werner Salmen – it can only get better and the first opportunity is already tomorrow on the second stage for the sporting setback.
