Alexis Guerin excellent seventh in the overall ranking in GC at the Tour de Hongrie UCI 2.1!
Thalmann with a great solo ride!
“Roli rolls!” Thalmann with violence!
Thalmann and Stüssi show dominance at the first mountain prize immediately after the start. Thalmann is second behind Koen Baumann (Jumbo Visma). Stüssi in fifth place. Thalmann extends and gets away alone. A long solo ride begins for Thalmann. He wins the following two sprint ratings. He also secured the next mountain classification after 107 kilometers. Three opponents close up from the field. In the final, Thalmann has to pay tribute to his efforts and falls behind.
Guerin full throttle into the top ten! Eighth place on stage – seventh place in the overall classification!
Alexis Guerin and Colin Stüssi make the final climb with the best of the overall ranking. Roland Thalmann fights, but falls behind. Guerin can brace himself against the World Tour riders in the long final ascent to Kekesteto and is an excellent stage seventh. Only 21 seconds behind stage winner Valter Attila (HUN / CCC Team). Second Simmons (USA / Trek-Segafredo), ahead of Howson (Mitchelton-Scott).
Alexis Guerin finishes this tour of Hungary on the brilliant seventh place overall among the World Tour teams.
Thalmann Top in Berg overall ranking – Stüssi has bad luck!
Roland Thalmann finished second in the overall climb standings – just barely enough for victory. Still a great job from the Swiss, as well as from Colin Stüssi. Until shortly before the final, but like yesterday, a defect today. A lot would have been possible for Stüssi today!
Overall, a great performance by the entire team. As one of the aggressive teams in the middle of the top World Tour Teams at the front!
