A challenging race at the Grand Prix of the Canton in Aargau UCI 1.1 – Alexis Guerin wins the mountain jersey and is awarded most active rider of the day!
At the 172 kilometre race with start and finish in Leuggern numerous world class teams were at the start – for the professionals of the World Tour it was the last test before the Tour de Suisse which starts next Sunday.
Team Vorarlberg came on srong with Alexis Guerin. He pulled away with two other riders, made his mark on the race and won mountain prize points non-stop.
Alexis Guerin wins the mountain jersey and is awarded the most active rider of the day!
Two laps before the finish, Guerin was able to break away and started solo into the last 20 kilometres. For his successful solo ride he was also awarded as the most active rider of the day.
Due to the numerous points in the mountain classifications, Alexis Guerin also won the mountain jersey.
In the end, Ide Schelling (BORA Hansgrohe) won ahead of Costa Rui (UAE Team Emirates) and Chaves Esteban from Team BikeExchange.
The other riders of the team were able to stay strong in the middlefield. Roland Thalmann finished with a fast group in the mainfield in 22nd position. Adrià Moreno finished the race in 30th position.

Austrian Championship Criterium in Gössendorf
At the time of press release, no results of the criterium were available yet. The young Austrian Riders Nikolas Riegler, Daniel Ganahl and Linus Stari will most certainly present themselves strongly in the coming days.

Tomorrow there will be a German/Swiss Bundesliga race in Gippingen for the first time. Over 200 riders are registered. Antoine Debons, Colin Stüssi, Lukas Meiler and Johannes Schinnagel are the starters on the difficult 142 kilometre course.
The Austrian riders of the team will start in Gössendorf in Styria!
Good Luck to “Roli” for the 85th Int. Tour de Suisse!
We wish Roland Thalmann good luck for the Tour de Suisse. The 27-year-old was set up for the World Tour by national coach Michael Albasini and will play a leading role in the Swiss national team, especially in the mountains!
