Super strong performance at Tour de Jura Cycliste – Guerin takes mountain jersey, Thalmann in 13th place! Fortin sniffs the podium at the Haut de France UCI 2.2!

 

Yesterday already a sprint finish and tenth place by Filippo Fortin. But today Lukas Meiler had something against it from Neuville to Saint Remy-Roisel over 175 kilometers. The german Team Vorarlberg rider shows a great race in the leading group, but is put back before the finish, but collects the mountain points. His brother Martin crashes and unfortunately had to abandon the race.

In the bunch sprint the Briton Stewart Camphell (Black Spoke) wins. Filippo Fortin placed fifth according to the finish photo (final result is still pending).

Tomorrow Fortin and the team will try everything to continue the trend of tenth and fifth place.

Duo Guerin / Stüssi kings of the mountains in the Jura – Thalmann on rank 13 of the Tour du Jura UCI 1.1

Also in the Jura today for the time being Guerin and Stüssi show a tremendous race. Both were in the leading group with five other professionals. Guerin takes the overall mountain classification ahead of Stüssi and also secures another special classification. In the final of the difficult parcours over 182 kilometers around Lons les Saunier, after catching Guerin and Stüssi, the Swiss Roland Thalmann can place himself as the best Continental rider in 13th place. 28th Antoine Debons. Winner Frenchman Benoit Consnefroy (AG2R) ahead of Velasco (ITA/Gazprom) and Madouas (Groupama-FDJ).
