Team Vorarlberg leader Alexis Guerin out injured for longer – Black Easter Sunday at La Roue Tourangelle UCI 1.1

 

The strong race of the Team Vorarlberg cracks was lost in the light of the events in yesterday’s spring classic La Roue Tourangelle in Tours (FRA) over 204 kilometers. Swiss Pro Roland Thalmann finished the race in 24th position, but the team from Vorarlberg was already active in the early stages and launched some attacks.

 

Radio Tour reports: “Fortin and Moreno out after crash”.

Towards the middle of the race, co-favorite Filippo Fortin and Adria Moreno were involved in a mass crash – “out of race” for the two reports Radio Tour shortly afterwards. “After a great start to the season, we are currently having to take some real knocks. But the sport teaches us life over and over again. All three drivers are seasoned professionals. You can see that the stakes are high because many races can’t take place due to the pandemic. That’s why they’re taking more risks and pushing hard. Now it’s a matter of curing the injuries and rebuilding. The next races in France were unfortunately cancelled because of the lockdown. So we will have a training camp and start racing again at the end of April. The season will last all the longer in the fall – and by then Guerin u.
