Colin Stüssi opened a turbulent start oft the Tour de Hongrie UCI 2.1 with 12th place – Lukas Meiler in the mood to attack!

Today the first stage of this year’s tour of Hungary over 117.5 km with start and finish in Esztergom. It is probably the best-manned race this year for the Vorarlberg Santic team. Six World Tour Teams (CCC, Israel, Trek-Segafredo, Jumbo-Visma, Alpecin-Fenix, Mitchelton-Scott) and a further eight Pro Continental Teams.

Lukas Meiler is tied for the mountain jersey!
The young german showed a very strong performance today and was in the top group of eight. Meiler placed second in both mountain ratings. So he is tied for points with Lozano Riba (SPA / Novo Nordisk) in this special ranking.

Colin Stüssi wide awake in the hectic finale!
In the final, all outliers were found again. A fall a few kilometers from the finish. Even at 300 meters the next one. The Swiss Stüssi finished in a very good twelfth place in the sprint of the remaining field. The Spaniard Aberasturi Jon (Caja Rujal) wins ahead of Kaden Groves (AUS / Mitchelton Scott).
Roland Thalmann and Alexis Guerin are grunted for a few seconds because of the falls.
