That was strong! Colin Stüssi on rank four at fourth stage at Volta Portugal – Lukas Meiler further on rank three in the overall classification – Moran Vermeulen on rank seven

And again today a super gripping finale – from and with Team Vorarlberg at the front. The section from Estremoz to Castelo Branco over 184 kilometers was again characterized by the great heat. Nevertheless, they wanted to act in the final today.

Rüegg with flat tire in the final – Stüssi takes over

The final was prepared for Lukas Rüegg – four kilometers before the finish the Swiss had a flat tire. Vermeulen and Co. take over posthaste for Colin Stüssi. In perfect position Stüssi pulls the sprint and becomes close fourth in the long sprint. Winner is the Czech Daniel Babor (Caja Rujal) – that was really close!

Lukas Meiler and Moran Vermeulen top in overall classification – Colin Stüssi new leader in combined classification

Lukas Meiler, who still leads in the combined classification, is still third with a gap of six seconds. Moran Vermeulen improves to seventh position (+ 10 sec).

Colin Stüssi takes over the lead from Lukas Meiler in the combined ranking. Every day at the award ceremony – Bravo!

Tomorrow it’s off to the mountains!

Tomorrow one of the most difficult days of the Tour awaits. The first mountain stop at Colvilha Torre at 1988 meters a blow for the climbers. Complicating the tour also the rather long transfers after each stage. However, the Arlberg Express Team Bus with Rene Hanisch as driver and supervisor is perfectly positioned.
