Great team performance at the 2nd stage of the Fleche du Sud UCI 2.2!
Team Vorarlberg strong in the second stage of the 72nd Fleche du Sud UCI 2.2
Today’s second stage of the Fleche du Sud made its own history. At the beginning of the race, the participating teams all wanted to place a rider in the leading group, but this neutralised the entire race.
After about one and a half hours of racing, one rider was able to break away from the peloton, but was put back in front 40 kilometres before the finish.
Team Vorarlberg riders finish at the same time as the day’s winner!
The sprint of the day is won by the Italian Giacomo Ballabio (Global 6 Cycling).
All riders of the team finish at the same time as the day’s winner and thus do not lose any time in the overall classification.
Tomorrow the third stage will start and finish in Bourscheid over 132 kilometres and with five mountain classifications.
