Max Kuen`s ride through the flatlands in Hungary!

Martin Meiler “man of the day” – after yesterday’s heavy fall!

47.73 km / h average on today’s third stage over 181.8 kilometers from Karcag to Nyiregyhaza. And right in the middle as one of the main actors Max Kuen. The young Austrian did a lot in a strong top group and ensured a strong presence for the team on Eurosport TV.

The top will be put back in the final. The super-fast Italian Jakub Mareczko (CCC Team) wins ahead of Kaden Groves (AUS / Mitchelton Scott). Groves is now also leading the overall standings, which will be finalized on the last stage next Wednesday. The tour of Hungary is decided on a mountain finish. Just to the taste of Guerin and Thalmann.

Max Kuen: “That used to be a ride. From KM 20 on in the top group. Once across the potty-flat east Hungary. Nothing more is needed. #Life at the limit. That was one of the toughest days in a top group for me. When it’s flat you just can never rest, you always have to ride under pressure. That’s really tough! “

Martin Meiler and Colin Stüssi back in the race after falling!

Those were moments of shock on yesterday’s Sunday stage. First, Colin Stüssi has to hit the ground a few kilometers from the finish. But he can finish the race. In the mass sprint of the field, the young Martin Meiler crashes badly and through no fault of his own at high speed. After the first aid, Meiler is transported to the hospital and examined. It is sewn around the eyes, but was very lucky that nothing was broken. His start today on the stage he has finished shows that he is a tough guy – Chapeau!
