Moran Vermeulen continues to impress at the Tour of the Alps UCI 2.Pro!
Moran Vermeulen on fire! Team Vorarlberg pro also strong in the second stage of the Tour of the Alps UCI 2.Pro!
Also at today’s second stage of the UCI Pro Series Tour of the Alps, with start in Reith im Alpbachtal to Ritten in South Tyrol (165 km), the native Dutchman Moran Vermeulen provides for furore.
Wearing the jersey of the Austrian national team, Vermeulen was again able to place himself in the leading group and wins both sprint classifications. So far he has won all classifications yesterday and today.
Nevertheless, he does not (yet) take over the jersey of the best in points of the Tour. Because both stages won the Briton Tao Geoghegan Hart of Team INEOS Grenadiers. This now holds at 50 points, Vermeulen in second place with 40.
“Today it was mega hard until we finally got away from the field. Then we let the chain run really right. Too bad that Tao won the stage again for me, but I’ll just try again tomorrow!” said Moran Vermeulen
