Team Vorarlberg not blessed with luck at the King of the Lake and at the Cycling league finals – Reutimann finishes fourth in overall

 

King of the Lake this year a weather lottery

It was super tough conditions at the 12th edition of this European-wide individual time trial classic. On the 47 kilometers long round around the beautiful Attersee, one waited in vain for the sun. Rain, wind and cold made this time trial a lottery. This was not to the advantage of Team Vorarlberg cracks Zoidl, Ganahl and Meiler. They took eighth to tenth place in the final standings. Winner the German Julian Braun (Team Sauerland).

Also in Kufstein a hard battle in the rain and cold. In the race over 140 kilometers around Kufstein, Team Vorarlberg launched the pace again and again in the second half of the race. First Guerin and Stari can break away in the last of four laps. After catching up, six riders attack with Zoidl. Guerin can catch up in the last kilometer, but can’t do anything in the sprint. He finishes sixth behind Riccardo Zoidl. Winner the Tyrolean Emanuel Zangerle (Team Cycling Tirol KTM).
