Ready for big final tomorrow at 12th Int. Oberösterreich Rundfahrt UCI 2.2!
Team Vorarlberg has everything prepared for the final at the Int. Oberösterreich Rundfahrt UCI 2.2 – Alexis Guerin on third stage in tenth place – pure suspense before the final stage
It’s not every day that a race passes right by your own front door. Today, the home man was Riccardo Zoidl. After passing his home town of Hainbach, the Vorarlberger pressed the pace and thus also divided the field.
Good news on the part of Daniel Ganahl – not broken. After his crash yesterday, the “hard-boiled” Montafoner was back in the saddle. Together with the equally strong Dominik Amann, Colin Stüssi and Lukas Meiler, he controlled the field over long distances.
Guerin with test attack and tenth place on stage – Lukas Meiler in eighth place overall
Again and again Ricci Zoidl, Alexis Guerin and Lukas Meiler showed up at the front in today’s difficult finale. Guerin set a test attack 25 kilometers before the finish. However, to pull this off solo was still too far away to the finish. He finishes tenth in the sprint of the decimated peloton today. The winner was the Norwegian Per Strand Hagenes of the Jumbo-Visma Team. Lukas Meiler 19th and Riccardo Zoidl 23rd finish at the same time.
In the overall ranking now leads the Dane Andreas Nielsen (Team Coop). Lukas Meiler is currently eighth.
Big final brings showdown for overall victory in the hillclimb final in Skirestort Hinterstoder
The decision about the tour victory of this year’s Int. Oberösterreich Radrundfahrt will fall on the last meters. Everyone is as sure about that as the Amen in the church. After a good 125 kilometers, the final climb to the 1412 meter high Hutterer Höss in Hinterstoder begins. Maybe there will be a Father’s Day present for the two daddies Zoidl and Guerin tomorrow!
Studio K19 will again broadcast this stage live from 11am – 3pm. Click in and keep your fingers crossed for Ricci Zoidl, Alexis Guerin and Co. https://www.facebook.com/teamvorarlberg
