Risk (yet) not rewarded in Greece at the Int. Rhodes GP UCI 1.2!
Dictated, risked, dominated! But (still) no happy end at the GP Rhodes UCI 1.2 for Team Vorarlberg!
So the short statement of the sporting director Werner Salmen. The placements of Colin Stüssi (15th), Roland Thalmann (22nd) and Alexis Guerin (28th) reflects everything else of today’s race over 186 kilometers with start and finish in Rhodes city.
“We were the race-dominating team with Norwegian Team Coop, who had the race luck with today’s winner Andre Drege (NOR) on their side, and were represented with five man in the front. Riccardo Zoidl extended in the final with two riders from this group and had to let tear three kilometers before the finish. They did everything right from the start. Today it was just not enough. But success will come if they continue to develop as a team,” said Werner Salmen.
