“rocket-man” Jannik Steimle wins the final stage of the 70th Fleche du Sud UCI 2.2 in Luxembourg!
Roland Thalmann’s “big fight” at Rund um Köln UCI 1.1!
YES! Jannik Steimle wins the victory on the final stage in Luxembourg with his “head out tactic”! It was already very hard four stages in Luxembourg with numerous top ten finishes for the team.
Yesterday the final stage over 138 kilometers with destination in Esch sur Alzette. The motto today “all in”! Because the riders wanted to reap the reward of their hard work after the aggressive driving style of the last four days – and behold – Jannik Steimle gives the team and his teammates this victory! In addition, he secured the jersey in the combined rating (most active rider of the tour)!
Jannik Steimle: “Today I wanted to force the victory. At the beginning I had very bad legs, but luckily I came very close behind the first group over the last mountain. Lukas Meiler, Jose Diaz Gallego and Max Kuen drove me through their terrific work to the front and ideally “delivered” where I belong. Third, I came around the corner and turned off my head today. At full risk it was enough to win today! Thanks to my colleagues and the team for this great graduation!

Roland Thalmann with a strong performance at Rund und Köln!
It was and is the big German classic race in the Rhein Main area. Also the 103 (!!) edition over 206 kilometers waited again with a top starter field. First and foremost the local World Tour team BORA hansgrohe, but also Katusha-Alpecin and numerous Pro Continental teams. A “soft” comeback came today from Team Vorarlberg Santic Italo Davide Orrico after his long break (herpes virus infection).
Great fight and good start to the race after a break from “Roli” Thalmann!
After the Tour de Romandie and Tour of the Alps, Schelling, Stüssi and Thalmann set up an altitude training camp. The latter was already well recovered and full of action. Roland Thalmann was in the forefront of the day and had to take an “unpleasant time out” after a technical incident at the circuit and fight back to the World Tour professionals. This cost in the course of the fast race, the necessary grains and must be torn. He comes 17th with the chasing group!
Daniel Federspiel (Ex MTB Eliminator World Champion) gets his first UCI points on the road with rank 25!
