Werner Salmen – Sports Director: “Not super perfect, but something would have been possible today. That’s how I bring it to the point. We almost risked too much today. Like many others, we made a partial bike change under the race, as the finale tended to flatten out again. Everyone couldn’t quite find their rhythm then, but the guys are still delivering a super job here against big top teams in Tour form!”
