Sensational performance on king stage of Tour of Slovenia UCI 2.Pro – Stüssi and Cabedo in top 15 on spectacular fourth stage and overall ranking!

With world-class performance of Colin Stüssi and Oscar Cabedo in the top 15 at the royal stage and overall ranking of the 29th Tour of Slovenia UCI 2nd Pro

 

Again today! Team Vorarlberg fights as the strongest Continental team until the final great at the king stage from Ljubljana to Koharid (167 km) against many greats of world cycling. From kilometer 30 to 100 the Vorarlbergers with Jayco Alula take over the pace work in the peloton.

Colin Stüssi attacks on the first climb on the Kolovrat, becomes second at the mountain classification. On the second climb, up the same mountain, the Swiss rider, as well as Oscar Cabedo, can ride with the best climbers for a long time.

 

Spectacular final with many crashes!

In the elimination race on the last meters then the fight in front of many thousands of spectators man against man. Italian Filippo Zana, Giro d Italia stage winner from World Tour team Jayco Alula, goes solo and crashes spectacularly on the descent. He nevertheless finishes second behind team-mate David Pena (SPA). Third Ulissi (ITA / UAE Emirates).

 

Cabedo and Stüssi’s incredible fight into the Top 15!

We said, just spread out in front and do work, because there are not many chances to start in such big races. That it was enough to make it to the final shows the good form especially of Colin Stüssi and Oscar Cabedo – congratulations BOYS!”

 

Stüssi finished twelfth in the stage, Oscar Cabedo just behind in 15th place. In the overall standings they now occupy these positions as well. Even the Eurosport reporters were pleased in the live broadcast about this strong performance of Team Vorarlberg!

Colin Stüssi is one rank ahead of Lukas Meiler in fourth place in the mountain classification. In the team classification Team Vorarlberg ranks eleventh, ahead of Team UAE Emirates.

 

Final to Nove Mesto!

After these strong days for Team Vorarlberg against the best teams in the world, the 29th Tour of Slovenia ends tomorrow after 142 kilometers in Nove Mesto.
