Strong Team performance on the fourth stage of the Tour of Bulgaria UCI 2.2

Strong Team performance on the fourth stage of the Tour of Bulgaria UCI 2.2 – Mountain jersey changes from Roland Thalmann to Alexis Guerin!

On the penultimate stage of the Tour of Bulgaria, the motto was to save energy for the last stage and not to lose any more seconds in the overall classification.

No sooner said than done. After the only mountain classification of the day, a three-rider leading group was able to break away and was caught up 25 kilometres before the finish.

As a team, the riders stayed in the front third of the peloton in order not to miss another attack until the finish.

Alexis Guerin takes over the mountains jersey from Roland Thalmann!

The sprint of the day was won by Marceli Bogusławski (HRE Mazowsze Serce Polski) from the overall leader of the Tour Francesco Di Felice (Gallina Ecotek Lucchini Colosio) and Patryk Stosz (Voster ATS Team).

Alexis Guerin collects some climb classification points and takes over the jersey of the leader in the climb classification from his team mate Roland Thalmann.

In the overall classification, Alexis Guerin and Roland Thalmann are in fourth and fifth place. In the team classification, the riders of Team Vorarlberg are in second place.

Tomorrow’s fifth and final stage over 159 kilometres from Chirpan to Momchilgrad will be another exciting one for the overall classification riders.
