Super job done at Tour du Doubs UCI 1.1 – this time unfortunately without result!

Daniel Federspiel strong fourth in top speed races in Braunau!

It was a real bike race today over 200 kilometers in France with well over 3000 meters in altitude. The 34th edition of the Tour du Doubs in the difficult terrain of the Jura Mountains from Morteau to Pontalier was also prominently attended by some World Tour teams (Groupama-FdJ, Total Direct Energie, Cofidis, AG2R La Mondial). Also many Pro Continental Teams.

Team Vorarlberg Santic and Arkea-Samsic turn the gas horn!

In the middle of the race, Arkea-Samsic and Team Vorarlberg Santic take over the reins of the race. They bring back the outliers before the final and wanted to make the final as difficult as possible. But the plan didn’t work out today.

Werner Salmen (Sports Director): “The guys drove really well today. They dared to take on responsibility in this field and wanted to make the race even more difficult in the final, as we had three trump cards with Guerin, Thalmann and Stüssi. Unfortunately, the last mountain wasn’t steep enough to make the final decision here. Thus the recognition of a more than active riding style remains without result. And yet the boys can be proud of their performance today! “
