Super strong season finale for Team Vorarlberg Santic by fifth place by Colin Stüssi at Classic Paris – Bourges UCI 1.1!
The best comes to the end often – so the cast of the 69th Paris – Bourges yesterday. World Champion Bronzen Stefan Küng (SUI – Groupama FDJ), Tony Gallopin (FRA – AG2R), Niki Terpstra (NED – Total Energy), all want the win over the 193.5 kilometer race.
The high-caliber leading group was provided by the follow-up work, in which the Team Vorarlberg Santic played a major role. That was not the plan for the sprint, so Thalmann and Co. are trying hard to jump off.
Stüssi sniffs again on the podium in the last race!
There are about 60 professionals to mass sprint in Bourges. Winner of fast Frenchman Marc Sarreau (Groupama FDJ) ahead of Tom van Asbroeck (Israel Cycling) and Amaury Capiot (Vlaanderen Baloise) – and in fifth place ??? Almost unbelievable Colin Stüssi – the young Swiss sprints by the hair on the podium!
“An incredibly great finish to a super strong 2019 season. It’s been clear all season that we can ride in the front in most races. If it still works with such well-stocked races at the end of the season, then this is a quality statement for our squad. This result is very rewarding for Colin, as he has often been in the work of the team all season! ” Team Manager Thomas Kofler
