Team presentation part 3 with the best Christmas greetings:

Team Vorarlberg is complete and ready for great deeds! Lukas Rüegg extended, Monegasque Antoine Berlin last new addition!

With the two professionals Lukas Rüegg and Antoine Berlin, Team Vorarlberg is now fixed. The 26-year-old Lukas Rüegg extended the contract for another year and is already burning for 2023. He is a member of the Swiss track Olympic team, and was Swiss champion in the U23 class in 2018 for Team Vorarlberg.

“I am happy to have been given the opportunity to race for Team Vorarlberg in 2023 so late in the year. I feel very comfortable in the team and hope to thank the team for this with corresponding successes.” so the comment of Lukas Rüegg

Monaco goes Vorarlberg – mountain flea Antoine Berlin should fly

With his 55 kilograms, the already 33-year-old Monegasque has the ideal prerequisites for the long, steep mountains. Until a few years ago, Antone Berlin was a long-distance runner (half marathon best time 1:08:57) and track and field world championship participant. In 2017, he switched to cycling. He has been in the professional circuit for three years and comes from the French Continental Team Nice Metropole. In 2021, Berlin shone with second place on the Col du Galibier at the Tour Savoie Mont Blanc ahead of Roland Thalmann.

Statement Antoine Berlin: “I am happy that I am now in Vorarlberg, a team with a winning mentality. I’m Monegasque and I didn’t follow the usual path of cycling, as my career originally started in long-distance running. I hope to bring my climbing skills to the team in 2023 and why shouldn’t I follow in the footsteps of the strongest riders who have won races wearing the Vorarlberg jersey.”
