Moran Vermeulen and Jon Knolle as real spearheads for the classic fraction – youngster Laurin Nenning gets professional contract
Desired rider Moran Vermeulen new in the Vorarlberg “Squadra”!
He is considered one of the strongest Austrians with more than realistic chances of a professional contract in the World Tour. The 25-year-old Styrian from Ramsau (190 cm) wants to take this next step with Team Vorarlberg after three years with Felbermayr-Wels. Moran Vermeulen secured victory in the Austrian Cycling League in 2021. He has also shown his class internationally on several occasions (including finishing second overall in the Tour de Serbia). Vermeulen feels comfortable in difficult, hectic races, as well as on classic-like profiles. The brother of the ÖSV cross-country skier Mika, is eager to race for the first time at the beginning of March in the jersey of Team Vorarlberg.

German Cycling League winner Jon Knolle as a guarantor for the Team Vorarlberg train!
With the 23-year-old German from Una was agreed quite quickly. The 195cm tall professional comes from Continental Team Sauerland. Jon Knolle placed 14th in Rund um Köln UCI 1.1, and won the overall classification of the German Cycling League 2022.
Jon Knolle: “I am looking forward to the new challenge with Team Vorarlberg. I especially like the strong athletic orientation of the team. I am very motivated to prove myself and want to play to my strengths. In addition, many tours have stages similar to classics – these are particularly suited to me. A big goal will continue to be the German time trial championship.”

Laurin Nenning and Peter Inauen as newcomers!
With 18-year-old Laurin Nenning, a very young Vorarlberger joins the team. He is still undergoing apprenticeship training at Hirschmann Automotive and is being introduced to the professional scene in a targeted manner.
Laurin Nenning on joining Team Vorarlberg: “I come from the MTB sector and see my current strengths on the mountain. I would like to expand on these and develop accordingly. I know that this is a big challenge, but I will accept it. My first goal: to stand at the start with my great role model Peter Sagan – that would be something!”
With Peter Inauen (26) from Switzerland, comes no stranger to the team. Inauen already convinced at the record ride as a guest rider in the four-man competition of the Race Around Austria 2021 as a strong all-rounder and reports back fit after an injury year in 2022.
