Team Vorarlberg before mammoth project – it awaits the twelve-day 84th Volta a Portugal UCI 2.1!

The Tour of Portugal is next to the three Grand Tours one of the longest tours in international cycling. The organizer has pronounced for the 84th staging to the team Vorarlberg. The UCI 2.1 stage race goes over twelve days and almost 1600 kilometers.

It will start with a prologue in Viseu next Wednesday. The sixth stage will be followed by a rest day. A time trial in Viano do Castelo will conclude the extremely popular national tour of the Portuguese.

Oscar Cabedo is fit again and is in the line-up. In addition, sports director Werner Salmen has nominated: Lukas Rüegg, Moran Vermeulen, Lukas Meiler, Jon Knolle, Pirmin Benz, and Colin Stüssi. Lukas Rüegg will be start before in Glasgow at the Track World Championships.

Rene Hanisch, longtime partner and sponsor with Arlberg Express from Austria chauffeured the pros in Portugal through the very intense days.
