Team Vorarlberg Cracks Lukas Meiler and Alexis Guerin still top for overall ranking at Alpes Isere Tour and Fleche du Sud in Luxembourg!
Alpes Isere Tour UCI 2.2: Guerin keeps everything open in the overall classification – Zoidl in bad luck after material defect / Fleche du Sud UCI 2.2: Youngsters fight bravely!
The second stage today from Les Abrets den Dauphine to Saint Quentin Fallavier (161 kilometers). The Team Vorarlberg riders did not make it into the leading group, but again controlled the group in the peloton. 50 kilometers a larger group with Zoidl and Guerin breaks away. Then another bitter pill: only a few kilometers before the finish Zoidl suffers material defect and loses over a minute of time. The race luck is currently not on the side of the Vorarlberg pros.
Quentin Jauregui (FRA/B&B Hotels-KTM) wins ahead of Lars Boven (NED/Jumbo-Visma). Alexis Guerin follows with the aspirants for the overall classification in 19th place. Tomorrow, an undulating stage follows before difficult mountain sections await on Saturday and Sunday. And here the Vorarlberg Equipe will attack.
