Team Vorarlberg on the trail of the Tour de France!

Roland Thalmann in third place on the Col du Galibier – Guerin must give up the overall lead, but Team Vorarlberg convinces with a strong performance!

 

Cycling with goose bumps today with the finish at 2624 meters above sea level on the Col du Galibier. Lukas Meiler, Colin Stüssi, Johannes Schinnagel and Antoine Debons prepared everything on the second stage to bring overall leader Alexis Guerin into the final shot climb. Especially Meiler and Stüssi plowed from the front all day today. But Guerin did not have his best day today and had to let “tear”. He becomes after 3500 meters of altitude 13th and must give up the leader position.

 

BUT, it would not be again “Roli” Thalmann. Yesterday still birthday, the Swiss fights today with the big teams for the podium and becomes great third. Winner the Colombian Cepeda (Androni Giocattolli), ahead of Antoine Berlin from Monaco! Colin Stüssi completes the strong team performance with 15th place!

Tomorrow’s third stage ends again with a mountain finish after 128 kilometers from Orelle at Montee de Aussois at 1528 meters!
