Team Vorarlberg pros are working hard for the start of the season – Presentation of Team Jersey 2022
The start of this year’s cycling season is approaching in big steps. The Team Vorarlberg cracks are toiling away in all corners of the world, or at home, for their form and their goals.
Linus Stari (AUT): “After three weeks of training in Mallorca in December, I am currently in Gran Canaria. Together with teammate Dominik Amann (AUT) we are now gradually increasing the intensity of the training. Towards the start of the season we are doing more interval and threshold training. At home there will be a few more ski tours. I’m already looking forward to the team training camp and the first races on Rhodes in March!”
Team newcomer Matthias Reutimann (SUI) are preparing in warmer climes on the Ligurian coast. “In addition to many hours of classic training on the road bike, I do daily running sessions and core training. The pleasant climate makes preparation easier and really spurs me on. My motivation has never been higher than now going into the races with Team Vorarlberg!”
Bad luck and good fortune for Alexis Guerin – Riccardo Zoidl takes advantage of the weather back home!
Luck in misfortune for Alexis Guerin (FRA). He is hit head-on by a car in a traffic circle during training in France, and had to let the bruises on his feet and hands heal for a few days. “I was just very lucky, it could have ended very bitterly!”
Riccardo Zoidl (AUT), one of the team leaders is preparing at home in Upper Austria and takes advantage of the good weather for a varied training. Zoidl in a nutshell: “I’m on target!”

Thanks to the strong partners, Ricci Zoidl, Roli Thalmann and Co. will once again be on the starting line at the season opener in Rhodes at the beginning of March as if from the same mold. As already in the past year the team Vorarlberg may trust again in the great quality of the Dutch company AGU. AGU has also been equipping the World Tour Team Jumbo-Visma for several years.
Team manager Thomas Kofler: “It is a great concern for us to thank our loyal and new sponsors for the cooperation. We are now entering season number 24. We are looking positively ahead and will give everything – for success and above all for the passion of cycling fast!”
