Team Vorarlberg Santic wants perform strong at the Int. Tour Alsace UCI 2.2 in France!

Jannik Steimle on the first stage on rank 13!

After the late night prologue yesterday with a team time trial over 4.5 kilometers, the 16th edition of the Tour Alsace was started with the record starter field of 162 professionals. Team Vorarlberg Santic placed in midfield.

Today the first stage over 153 kilometers with start and finish in the Alsatian Selestat!
The Belgian Tim Merlier (Corendon Circus) wins ahead of the Norwegian Hermann Dahl (Team Joker). The hourly average over 46 km / h! Jannik Steimle was today a little too early in the “wind” and finished on rank 13. Steimle’s teammates around Patrick Schelling and Roland Thalmann came in time with the winner to the finishline!

Tomorrow’s second stage over 143 kilometers reveals several climbs, plus the final climb to the finish after La Planche des Belles Filles. Quite to the taste of some Team Vorarlberg Santic Cracks!
