The next victory for Team Vorarlberg! Moran Vermeulen crowns himself “King of the Lake” at Attersee for the first time!

It was again a battle of speed at the Attersee. The 13th edition of the already legendary King of the Lake attracted an incredible 1400 athletes to the start line of the 47.2 kilometer long course.

In the individual time trial of the elite class it was a seconds thriller until the end. In the last kilometer, Moran Vermeulen from Ramsau, in the service of Team Vorarlberg, was able to pull away and take the day’s victory.

„King of the Lake“ Moran Vermeulen!

Moran Vermeulen wins the biggest time trial in Europe in 56:53 minutes and an average of 49.77 km/h, ahead of last year’s winner Julian Braun (GER – Saris Rouvy Sauerland) and Adrian Stieger (AUT – ARBÖ headstart ON Fahrrad).

Two places ahead of ultramarathon icon Christoph Strasser, Lukas Rüegg finishes 13th overall.
