Tour Alsace – A hot and challenging third stage
The third stage with a total length of 143.1 kilometers led from Vesoul to La Planche des Belles Filles, in very hot conditions. The riders started on a flat first section. After a divers second part, several climbs had to be taken. The most challenging section was the final climb of La Planche des belles filles with a total length of almost 6 kilometers and 8.5 percent in average. Adriá Moreno crossed the finish line with the first finishers of the day.
Team Vorarlberg sports director Werner Salmen summarized: “It was a very tense race with three massive crashes, from which we were luckely spared. The heat was also a great challenge. We will head into tomorrows fourth stage fully motivated.”
Today’s victory went to Colombian Abner Santiago UMBA LOPEZ (Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec) ahead of Antoine HUBY (FR/Cross Team Legendre) and Sébastien REICHENBACH (CH/Groupama-FDJ).

The fourth stage starts in Ribeauvillé and leads the riders over a distance of 161 kilometers to Lac Blanc.
