Tour Alsace: What a performance on today’s royal stage!

What a fourth stage at the Tour Alsace! Despite several defects of Adrià Moreno and Alexis Guérin, both riders fought their way back to the front with great team support and therefore secured top-ten rankings.

Today’s 161.3 kilometer stage starting in Ribeauvillé and arriving at Lac Blanc demanded everything from the riders. Six passes and a total of 4,235 meters in altitude had to be conquered. Both Alexis Guérin and Adrià Moreno were able to rejoin the leaders at the end despite defects and the resulting gap. What a strong performance by Team Vorarlberg!

Alexis Guérin ended up in fourth place in today’s main stage. He takes over the mountain jersey after winning several mountain classifications and is the most active rider of the day. Another top ten finish was taken by Adrià Moreno coming in on ninth place. After this outstanding performance, there will be a significant jump in the team standings.

Today’s victory goes to the Spaniard José Félix PARRA CUERDA (Equipo Kern Pharma). Second place was secured by Leon HEINSCHKE (GER/Development Team DSM) ahead of Swiss Sébastien REICHENBACH (Groupama-FDJ Continental).
