Martin Meiler 8th at the 59th Int. Cherry Blossom Race!

That was and is not yet the yellow of the egg. Martin Meiler finished eighth today at the 59th Cherry Blossom Race over 171 kilometers in Wels. In the mass sprint in a fast race (43.4 km/h average) of about 50 riders a respectable success, but the goal was further up. Meiler lost the rear wheel of Stüssi 500 meters before the finish and thus had to find his own way in the final. Nevertheless, the young Oberammergauer, who is willing to learn, can be satisfied and takes this experience with him to the next race.

The race is won by Slovenian Matevz Govekar (Tirol Cycling) ahead of German Felix Groß (rad-net Rose). Stüssi finishes 19th.
